Qascom is looking for a Galileo Signal Verification Engineer to join our team in Noordwijk, Netherlands, and contribute to engineering activities for the Galileo Satellite Navigation System, in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA).
As part of the Galileo Second Generation project, the candidate will be involved in the implementation and verification of next-generation navigation signals, following the Galileo system and its related procurements, including the space segment, test user receivers, system testbed, and the ground segment.

What you’ll work on
- Contribution to segment qualification activities and system test campaigns, including test planning, dry-run execution, post-processing of results, derivation of KPIs, and preparation of test reports;
- Contribution in the generation of SIS Design Change Notices (DCNs) and their incorporation into relevant requirement documents and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) using IBM DOORS or equivalent tools;
- Support the VCD (Verification Control Document) process for Signal-In-Space (SIS) related requirements in collaboration with the AIV (Assembly, Integration, and Verification) team, involving the definition and maintenance of test cases, Requirements Verification Matrices (RVMs), and credit collection;
- Participation in segment design reviews, providing clarifications, assessing proposed deviations and waivers, and evaluating their impact on system-level mission compliance;
- Maintenance of the statement of compliance, justification files, and traceability of requirements to system and mission-level specifications;
- Perform laboratory experiments involving configuration, operation and troubleshooting of Radio Frequency Constellation Simulators (RFCS) and GNSS receivers;
- Development of GNSS signals processing solutions (tracking, acquisition) in high level programming languages (Python, MATLAB) and generation of representative Test Vectors (TV) of Galileo signals;
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances, working closely with the customer and partners;
- Presentation of technical proposals and results in front of experts from different agencies (ESA, EUSPA) and GNSS industries.
What do you need
- Master’s degree in one of the following: Telecommunication, Electronics or Aerospace Engineering (Phd is a plus);
- Professional experience in one of the following: System Engineer, Signal Engineer, Verification Engineer, AIV Engineer or similar;

System Engineering (req., design, validation, ECSS, etc.);

Knowledge of GNSS services such as the GALILEO/GPS ICD;

Processing and analysis of GNSS signals;

Knowledge of systems Engineering process (requirements, design, validation, ECSS, etc.);

Knowledge on Requirements Engineering (Elicitation, Specification, Validation & Verification, Supervision & Traceability, Design Change Notices…);

Knowledge of Interface Engineering;
- Basic Experience with at least one of the following Program languages: Matlab, Python, C++

Eligibility for National Security Clearance;
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

The annual gross salary for this position ranges between €65,000 and €80,000 (including holiday allowance), commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to our benefits package.
