The candidate will join our Security Engineering team, supporting the design, development, testing and implementation of security software systems for space missions and governmental services. This includes the design of security protocol, security architectures and cryptographic solutions.
At Qascom we are involved in the newest cutting-edge projects of the European Space Agency ESA and the Italian Space Agency ASI, as well as the major international industrial players of the security sector.
What you’ll work on
- 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of space and ground systems, with particular focus on key management, telecommunication protocols for space applications, applied cryptography, and security services of satellite systems;
- 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, including but not limited to requirements analysis, identification, and flow-down;
- 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in compliance to relevant standards (e.g. ECSS, GSWS, CCSDS, etc.);
- 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
What do you need
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering;
- 2/4+ years as a software developer and designer in relevant activities (complex or networked software systems);
- Professional experience in design & develop of multi-threading software systems;
- Knowledge in applied cryptography (even if academic);
- Knowledge of software design principles;
- Rust or C++ program languages;
- Eligibility for National Security Clearance;
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
