Qascom is proud to announce it has been awarded the ALIGNED project by the European Space Agency (ESA), marking a new step forward in pushing the boundaries of handheld positioning and navigation.
In collaboration with Hightek S.r.l. and Sapienza Università di Roma, the project focuses on integrating visual-inertial navigation with other Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) sensors commonly used in high-end commercial devices. The innovative solution will be demonstrated in real-world operational environments, laying the groundwork for its integration into future commercial applications.
This initiative is supported by the European Space Agency’s NAVISP Programme, which plays a critical role in advancing Europe’s leadership in satellite navigation and PNT innovation.
